Department of Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry

Paediatric Dentistry is the specialty of dentistry that focuses on the oral health and unique needs of young people viz. infants, children and adolescents including those children with special health care.

In our institution we have the department of Paediatric Dentistry.

The clinical equipments which help the Pediatric Dentistry Departmental staff to prevent, detect and to treat the children with various dental diseases are available and properly utilized. Some of them are ultrasonic scalar, light cure devices, amalgamators, solders, welders, rubber dam kits, etc.

Top loading autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, needle destroyers, glass bead sterilizer are the one which are used in the Deptt. to carryout the sterilization process most efficiently.

Laboratory equipments like model trimmers, heavy duty micromotors with handpieces & burs, polishing and trimming equipments, vibrators, soldering kits have made the department self sufficient for all type of laboratory works.

The combined efforts of all staff members have made the department Children friendly dental home.

Attractive paintings & posters of cartoon characters, animals are displayed in the playroom and department to create children friendly atmosphere. Audiovisual facilities like colour television, DVD player, compact disc of cartoon, films, rhymes, dances & dental procedures are available to entertain the children in reception area of the department.
